Black Mold Cleaning Process
Mold inspection and testing
Proper inspection is the key to quality black mold remediation. Using the correct equipment to detect moisture in and behind surfaces is key. We use thermal imagery and moisture probes to determine where the moisture is. Mold can’t be eliminated without eliminating all of the hard to find water behind the surface. If needed, we will take air and surface samples to help us determine what is or is not mold. We send our samples to a third party laboratory to get an unbiased determination of exactly what kind of mold may be growing and exactly how much of it.
Mold Containment Chamber
It is important that the mold is contained to the known affected areas. Mold spores should not be move throughout the property. This would be known as cross contamination.
Mold Removal
Once we have proper containment of the affected area we can now begin to remove building materials as needed. Some building materials may need to be removed depending on the type of material and the severity of the mold. We follow strict IICRC S520 guidelines to ensure that all mold is properly eradicated. Once we know that all of the porous materials have been removed we can now focus on the treatment process.
Mold Treatment
Our process includes the use of ultra low volume fogging to ensure we reach all spaces with our plant based chemicals. We use a plant based chemical to keep people and pets safe. The chemical is our own proprietary blend that has been established over years of testing. This product will kill all of the mold in the area. Once we have neutralized the mold we can begin to remove all of the dead mold spores.
Detailed Mold Spore Removal
Now that we know all of the mold spores have been nutralized it is important to remove them from the area. If these spores are not removed it is possible that they can revitalize and become an issue once again. Our specialty HEPA Vacuums and Air Scrubbers filter the air for tiny particles to ensure a thorough mold remediation.
